But former Middlesbrough boss Karanka says his friend is much more relaxed than in his first spell at Chelsea.

“I think he’s calmer now,” he said on Sky Sports.

“Maybe the people who don’t know him can’t relate, but the people who know him know he’s calm.

“I think it’s been good so far. I hope they can get the position in the Champions League.

“The first season he’s won two titles, getting another one and the Champions League would be a very good start for him.

“I was visiting them last week in Carrington because they are good friends, I’ve learnt a lot from them. They helped me a lot and I have a very good relationship with them.”
